Jude Hehman possesses entrepreneurial vigor and is a proven leader, with a track record of sound growth strategy, precise execution and financial success. As co-founder of Furlong Building, one of the region’s most successful construction firms, he also holds the distinction of running a key city in Northern Kentucky, serving as the elected Mayor of Fort Mitchell. Hehman serves on several business and civic boards and has created several small businesses, creating jobs and opportunities for others.
Jude Hehman spearheaded strategic and growth planning for Furlong, expanding market segments and creating a unique client service method for design/building construction management. He developed brand expertise in Cincinnati region’s unique independent brewery construction including a $10 million project for Rhinegeist Brewing as well a over a dozen other local breweries.
Committed to public service, Jude Hehman served for 10 years on the Ft. Mitchell KY City Council, first elected at age 21. Jude is currently serving his third term as elected mayor of the City of Fort Mitchell KY, providing leadership and direction to a complete staff of police, fire, EMS, administrative and public works. He served as the chair of the Kenton County Mayor’s Group and serves on the executive board of the OKI Regional Council of Governments and on the board the Kentucky League of Cities. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Highland Cemetery. Jude Hehman was named to the 2013 Business Courier’s Forty Under 40 List of Business Leaders, distinguishing himself in the workplace and community. He has led his company to the Business Courier’s Fast 55 award six times, the Tri-State Success awards in 2012 and 2013, and Emerging 30 in 2014 and again in 2017, a finalist in the NKY Chamber of Commerce Impact Awards in 2018. Furlong Building was named among the top 25 brewer builders in the United States by General Contractor’s Magazine in 2019. Jude received the Ruth A. Eger NKY Leaders of Distinction award and was named the Elected Official of the Year by the Kentucky League of Cities, both in 2019. In 2022, Hehman was named Volunteer of the Year by the Emergency Shelter of Northern Kentucky (ESNKY).
