Furlong Completes Wooden Cask Brewery Project

Newport, KY–Furlong Building Enterprises, LLC held a celebration in November honoring the completion of the new 10,000 sq. ft. Wooden Cask Brewery located at 629 York Street. The project included a complete renovation of the 1887 historic building to house a 15-barrel brewhouse along with a bar and seating areas. In less than one year, working with owner Randy Schlitz, Furlong transformed the building into a functioning brewery that is inviting and now open to the public.

“We are proud to have completed another successful brewery project and enjoyed a great celebration last week that coincided with the official opening of Wooden Cask in November,” said Furlong CEO Jude Hehman. “It is exciting to be part of this growing industry of craft brewers and we are proud to have been chosen by Randy Schlitz and Wooden Cask to make their new venture a reality.”

Furlong is involved with several brewery projects including the 112,000-sq. ft. Rhinegeist Brewery in OTR, West Side Brewery and Fretboard Brewery.
